I booked the market garden tour with sander last week. I am still very impressed by sander's knowledge and fun facts. Sander has a clear story and explains everything well. He knows what he is talking about and brought alot of pictures and videos with him on the tour! I would recommend sander's tours to everybody! A successful day!
Absolutely fantastic experience with our tour guide, Sander van Kamman! He is a class act, and from start to finish, he was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the complex military operations that took place in the areas we visited around Nijmegen, (Netherlands) and "The Island" (Betuwe). He engaged us not just with facts and details but he also weaved in stories that captivated us even more. He was also always ready to answer our questions and provide additional insights. His itinerary was perfectly planned, allowing us to see all the "must see" spots without feeling rushed. I would also like to note that I was travelling with my elderly father on this tour, and Sander was extremely sensitive, thoughful and accommodating to my dad's needs! What really stood out to me with Sander was his personal touch. He shared personal anecdotes and "local" tips that really made the tour feel special. He even provided us several "Dutch treats", (Stroppe waffles, ginger bread, Dutch licorice .... and Iced Teas to wash it all down)! Sander's enthusiasm is contagious and we left with an even deeper appreciation and understanding of the history that happened in the area. We highly recommend Sander to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure. 5 stars all the way!!!
We booked a tour of the Oosterbeek perimeter, and Sander was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights throughout. We had an excellent experience and would highly recommend this tour!
Been on a tour. Oosterbeek and places around it. What got me the most is not only the knowledge about the battle and history, not only the photo's that were showed to show you what happened, it was the total lack of being in a hurry. Timeschedule was not a thing. Did you have a question, the answer came and more than that. The passion that goes into telling this story makes it worth it. Would definitely go again.
I met up with Sander for an Arnhem and Oosterbeck tour last year. Even though i am very adverse in the events of Market Garden and the surrounding areas having visited there a couple of times, what sander offered to my existing knowledge you could of filled a book with. I was blown away by the attention to detail and the expertise sander offered. The tour was very well thought out and well researched with many facsimiles presented on the tour comparing a then and now comparison. His enthusiasm in telling a story of what was happening around those times made the tour energetic and exciting and certainly left with the feeling ' Where to next ' as you didn't want the tour to end.
